Harvest Quality Determination (LDT)

This company sells agricultural products to their clients. Because they deliver a live product, the harvested product is continuously tested against dozens of criteria. As each batch of product is different, decisions need to be made whether seeds can be shipped to customers, even though they might have failed one or more tests – or shipped as an early release, when there is customer demand, but not all test results have been received yet. Before this app, people would spend up to four days running several SAP reports and combining them into excel sheets and pivot tables. And then hunting through the 100k+ records downloaded for the batches that needed a decision. With this app they not only get real-time insight into the batches, but they can also filter the results easily and can create workflow requests for decisions around batches in a controlled and auditable way, that wasn’t available before. Batch status updates are written back to SAP.
